Exercise protects against severe COVID-19 infection

You don't need to convince us that exercise is good for our mind and body.

However, a large-scale American study of more than 48,400 people has only just been published showing that people who regularly exercise have a lower risk of hospitalization, admission to intensive care and death after a COVID-19 infection. Even people who exercise only a little are noticeably better off than sedentary people.

Sport and exercise therefore remain important. It makes our bodies more resilient to serious infection and we also become more resilient in difficult times when our daily activities are curtailed. Even small lifestyle changes are worth it! More information from your doctor or physiotherapist.
