Dear patient,
With this email, we would like to inform you about our approach regarding vaccination against
COVID and the flu for this year. The medical team at De Beurs recommends vaccination against
these two pathogens for high-risk patients. If you do not belong to a high-risk group but still wish
to get vaccinated against COVID, that is also possible.
We define high-risk groups as follows:
- Anyone aged 65 and older
- Pregnant women
- Individuals with obesity, especially with a BMI > 40
- Patients with diabetes, heart, or lung conditions
- Patients with weakened immune systems
- Anyone living with or in direct contact with the above-mentioned groups
To schedule an appointment, please prefer to do so with the nurse through the online
appointment system, where you should select "COVID / Flu Vaccination" as the reason for your
visit.
Regarding COVID, we have the following arrangements in place:
- Vaccination will take place from October 2nd to October 13th.
- The vaccine (new variant) is available at the practice during the designated vaccination times.
- We have daily slots available for this purpose, particularly with the nurse.
- You can book the slots online via our website https://www.groepspraktijkdebeurs.be/ (Of
course, we can assist patients without internet skills via phone).
As for the FLU VACCINE, the following arrangements are in place:
- Vaccination will take place from October 23rd to November 17th.
- Please bring the vaccine with you to your appointment, which you can obtain from the
pharmacist without a prescription.
- We have daily slots available for this purpose, particularly with the nurse.
